BAL sucks! Takes forever to reply and submit
Transferring my H1b and got a RFE. It takes them forever to reply and respond. it has been literally 5 months since my company initiated the transfer. I follow up every week but they alway say “its ok, we have 12 weeks to respond!” Do they realize how important it is to get it done so people can move on with their life. Their attitude is absolutely terrible and I think we should do something about it. So they stop treating immigrants like second class people and treat us like their clients.
Replace BAL in that post with almost any law firm and the story remains the same. 😐 If your new manager is experienced with this BS then they can apply some pressure and when it comes from them, it usually carries some weight. Other than that there is nothing you can do unfortunately.
Why the fuck BAL owns like half of the tech companies Visa stuff. They treat customers like livestock. We all need to complain companies to move on to some better company for our immigration needs. Example : when I was with Microsoft, my labor clearance came within 6 months. With BAL, it took 7 months only to get an audit on the company and then now it's been another 5 months without any update.
BAL is the only reason that I had to leave my previous company. They are super incompetent, rude and not good at what they do. I had to go through leetcode, h1 transfer struggle just to escape from them. l will never interview wirh a company that employs BAL for their immigration matters.
Fragomen is no different. I am facing similar issues right now with Fragomen for my RFE
I heard they need $25000 per year as a retaining fee. I’m pretty sure the leadership in the legal team is corrupted because paying 5 times more than money and let BAL immigration team unaccountable .
How long did BAL take to file LCA from the time documents were submitted?

This mean your company’s legal VP is really incompetent. He should be gone ASAP.
I'm having the same trouble for my work permit as well. They suck and take ages to reply. And not to blame the bal team alone the HR are very lazy as well. Bal depends on hr for documents and details.
