BHGE layoffs

GE 0914
Feb 1

They are coming early Feb and early March for digital - and severance is truly awful. BHGE continues to treat their employees like trash. Job hunt and run if you can!

If they treat you like trash it should be unnecessary to even suggest people leave. They should be leaving spontaneously.

I have too much work experience to be SDE fucking "2" at this point. Is anyone at Amazon hiring for something more substantial?

Worked at GE in their premier location. The place will implode (i did predict it when leaving and they shutdown the research centers firing a lot of good people).

Most of their business will implode as they systematically sell what they can. Healthcare and jet engines could survive. But please do yourself a favor and leave GE while figure their marbles.

Until Welch. Neutron jack started the bullshit. It takes a while to ruin a 100 year old company.

I’ve worked at GE a couple of times in different cities. It was always about the dollars, if your division made money you’re ok otherwise get your resume ready. The one thing I don’t get is that GE invented stack-ranking, which should’ve been buried in the dustbin of historically terrible management ideas. But it’s infected Silicon Valley HR departments, including ours at Splunk.

Was the company better before GE took over? Article I just read said GE made a mess of the place

  • I had an interview with their data science team. They give a lot of conference presentations about their work, especially with Google. It is good that they did not hire me.
