I got emailed from a few recruiters from amazon (all various teams). They all have mentioned something about my LinkedIn profile that made them want to reach out to me. But when I reply that I'm interested, no response whatsoever. Is this happening to others?
Happened to me today. Awaiting response. Its a numbers game for the recruiter. They'll get back to you when that role becomes most important to fill.
Interestingly it happens often with amazon and Microsoft. (Two companies I would love to work for)
A Microsoft recruiter tried arranging a call with me twice. Stood me up the first scheduled call, then ghosted after reaching out for a call again a month later.
Yup. Doing drive bys
If it's been long (more than a week) without any response, you can send a reminder. I sent a one or two reminders in my recruiting process.
I did that and nothing. Called and left a voicemail.. radio silence
I just applied for different reqs that fit my skills until I got real interest.
You can guess at the recruiters email address (or use the one they attached to their inmail) to contact them directly. I experienced the same scenario. I then emailed the recruiter and they replied immediately.
The recruiters usually work across multiple Orgs and a number of hiring managers. They run search jobs on LinkedIn and email everyone. It's difficult to follow up to each response
Yes. They probably don't have the time to follow up with everyone they make contact with if you know how many roles they are trying to fill.
