Banning gifs/memes in Slack and emails?
My company’s Legal Dept just issued an edict saying that we can no longer use any potentially copyrighted material for *internal* Slacks or email messages, citing legal risk. Fair use, anyone? The ‘team communication’ use case is clearly not meant to deprive a copyright holder of commercial benefit.
Anyone else dealing with this insanity, or is this just one of the perks of working for a 110-year-old company?
