We've got water, food, lights, a generator, and first aid supplies. One kit like that thats good size in our garage and one smaller version in each car.

Seismologists believe we're about ten years overdue for a mag 7+. There is a 99% chance of a 6.7 or stronger in the next 30 years. It's not necessary imminent but doesn't seem like many people take the risk seriously, very few folks making plans for family, home, etc.
