Seriously, why do you have to slam on the horn and hold it for 10sec??? You are just making pedestrians annoyed. Even if the other person is the stupidest driver or pedestrian does honking really make you happy?
Honestly, I can understand drivers who make mistakes and get yelled at, but those who honk.... come on...
- Microsoft / Eng_cr7moreStop driving like you're in India or China. then maybe I will stop honk like I'm in India or China
- Me whenever I hear someone lay on the horn in the Bay Area: “Welp, that person’s not from here.”
- Google KUwQ28I feel like I hardly ever hear horns here. People are so respectful! In fact as a pedestrian I find it annoying how respectful people are(!) If I've decided to cross the street after a single car, and I show any inclination toward street crossing (especially if not at an intersection *gasp*) then then car will often slowly slow right down, stop, and wave me across, which saves neither of us time compared to just continuing on their merry way. (This is kind of South Bay specific).
- Don't listen to OP. Honk more, not less. People do the craziest shit on these roads, and if you don't honk, you're telling everyone around you that it's OK.
