Really depends on team and org. I'm really optimistic on ibm. For context I'm 1 yoe and have TC over 200k we get free snacks in the office but not full meals. What other type of perks were you looking for?

Amazon FuckinHell Nov 17, 2018

Is that in NYC?

IBM Leetcode Nov 17, 2018

Definitely location dependent

My grandpa worked for them for 30 years and has been collecting his pension for 34 and counting.

IBM frak Nov 17, 2018

they don't have pension anymore and 401k match is once a year. insurance is bare minimum

AT&T DDM2K Nov 17, 2018

Shit! Are they still using MetLife for health coverage? When he was employed, IBM had their own insurance and provided *stainless steel* insurance cards. I’m sure it was a lot different when most plans were fee-for-service.

There insurance sucks I'd you have a family

IBM fgtr Nov 18, 2018

The medical insurance is one of the worst I have seen till date. Deductible is like 7K and Out of Pocket max is like 14K for family with PPO with HSA. Monthly contributions for family is like 500. They stopped Out Of Network coverage from 2019. Just search online for the benefit package, I think it's open to view. The online version might be for 2018, only difference would be for 2019 is there is no Out Of Network coverage.

God damn! TC?

IBM fgtr Nov 18, 2018

IBM lonely gir Nov 18, 2018

IBM pxDx83 Nov 21, 2018

It was only >200k a few posts ago.

IBM lonely gir Nov 21, 2018

Is that not the same thing 😂

IBM ytmD74 Nov 29, 2018

Not really a benefit but my favorite part is how I get to work from home 95% of the time.

Microsoft Perchance OP Nov 29, 2018

I love this kind of benefit.

IBM pxDx83 Nov 29, 2018

Some parts of the company are removing that benefit and forcing people to collocate and work in “agile” spaces that are anything but. Our crazy CMO is driving that.
