So Google/MS/FB all seem to match up to 50% of the max limit of 401k contributions. Any other company that does better? 100% up to 10% of salary maybe? Curious what's the diversity of plan matchings out there, albeit lack of other perks (vesting cycle, fund options, etc).
Fb doesn't match 50% AFAIK. LinkedIn matches 50% as well.
Visa employee who earns $100,000 a year can set aside $5,000 and the company will contribute $10,000
Johns Hopkins Physics laboratory contributes 10% of your salary to 401k regardless of your contribution rate
SAP matches 75% up to 6% of your paycheck of course not exceeding the max limit per year.
AFAIK, max limit per year is only for employee contribution not the employer match.
There are two separate limits; your contributions go against personal and what everyone widely discusses. Employers have a second limit which they can’t exceed which is 2x the personal limit so it is practically never touched
Liberty Mutual matches 50% up to 8% contribution. They also add an additional 5% of your salary to a pseudo pension benefit plan (no individual contribution required)
Cisco does 4.5% of base+bonus. For high earners this is better than G,M,F. E.g. someone with 200K base and 50K bonus would get 401K match of 11250, which is more than the 9.5K match in G and M.
100% match up to 6k. So basically 6k
McKinsey did 12% of base to your 401K automatically, no vesting nor contribution required. Now it’s 7.5%
100% matching for 6% of your base.

unrelated question, if i withdraw my 401k beforehand, I will need to pay 10% penalty plus tax right? how is this tax calculated? based on the salary during withdraw time? if so, can i just quit my job in US and back to my homeland. Then since i don't have any salary from US, i don't need to pay tax for my 401k?
Make your own question. Too unrelated
You will pay the penalty and the rest will be income tax. So it will depend on which tax bracket you fall into
