Best Online Masters Programs for non-STEM backgrounds?

I’m toying with the idea of getting a masters, if I do I’d want to go online so I can work full time, have a better chance of getting into a better program and spend less overall. I have a business background but work for AWS so I would say I’m “lightly” technical. I’m considering either looking at future roles in Venture Capital, Business Development, Product Management or staying in Sales. I’m not interested in an MBA because they cost too much, the good ones are full time on campus and I don’t have the undergrad GPA to get into a Top 10 program. I’ve heard good things about Georgia Tech’s Masters in Analytics and UPenn’s Master in Computer Information and Science. I’m looking for a “medium” technical program for under $25K Any advice is appreciated. Thanks y’all

I feel there is a proliferation of programs that don’t teach jackshit. Would you want to join one because of the brand of the university, because they would give you “a reason” to study the material or other reasons?

1. Future job opportunities 2. Brand of the university (I hate that it matters, but it does) 3. I do have an interest in the subjects but this will give me more of a reason to study

Cool! A few comments on your answers: 1. The risk is that you get a master’s but you really will need a lot of extra work to be proficient in the given subject. Example: master’s in applied analytics with no prereqs enforced result in analytics/ML courses that are very superficial. If you apply for, say, a data science role, your chances of success won’t be high. 2. I agree it does, but typically to get you interviews, not to help you pass them. I have not seen cases where a candidate was preferred over another one (given the same performance on an interview) because of the name of the university. 3. Fair! In general I’m very skeptical of all these degrees...I’d rather go for a degree that gives you solid foundations in classical statistics and SQL. And then you’re immediately ready for a data analyst position: for instance you’ll be able to pull and wrangle data, run A/B tests and assess, say, marketing campings performances.

There’s no good online masters program. If you ultimately want a good paying tech job, don’t waste your money on that.

Garbage...lot of online programs from top schools are on par.

I don’t want a tech job. I want a customer facing or managerial role in a somewhat technical capacity. I have 0 desire to enter a strong tech role, I enjoy the bridge between business and tech

Although perhaps not quite what your looking for, I'll mention mine. I'm taking Ga Tech's OMSCS. It's a pretty good program (some classes are better than others of course), and it's cheap. Under 9k for the whole program. They also have a data science one that is pretty similar, but I don't know a lot about it. Feel free to DM with any specific questions.
