Ive seen all three but for 5 miles commute? Why not a bike? Or an electric assisted one if you need that?
More than 1-2 miles, less than 10? Get a motorcycle. Small one like a supermoto DRZ400 would be perfect.
5 miles is a bit much for any of these, not in terms of battery but more in riding comfort (you will feel all the cracks in the road), slightly less safeer over that distance, will cause more fatigue. I would recommend getting a bike instead.
