I’m at a small SaaS startup doing full-cycle sales. My manager doesn’t know much more than me, and I feel like there’s no growth within the company... Where should I go to get good mentorship/career progress? I wanna stay in sales and wanna work on improving my skills.

SF is pretty intense I heard.
Problem here is relocation, since we don’t know where you are. But if you could go to Boston (or work in a small SF office) and wouldn’t need relocation assistance check out InsightSquared. They turn out great reps and have a very good sales culture. Disclosure: I know the team well and have bought from them twice. Do not own shares.
CBU at SF will give you more experience in 1-2 yrs than like 7-8 anywhere else.

I’m tempted by SaaS startups like Zendesk and Slack. Would love info about them.
Zendesk sales is hit or miss — depends on your territory and sometimes luck. If you are relatively low level — less than 5 years there is room for growth. More experienced reps typically have limited options for growth or promotion.
The experience would be useful. I’ve done sales ops but not direct AE work. Didn’t get past screen.
