I've applied to multiple companies that are pretty big but haven't gotten a denial after 3+ weeks (Amazon, Apple, Paypal, etc.). I know their processes can take a long time, but I've seen recommendations to reach out to a recruiter for the companies (if I can find them). What would a conversation with that person look like, when referencing an application from multiple weeks ago? Edit: these are graduate positions or similar level, if that matters

How many of you still want to work at Tesla?
Hi _, I'm X, a software engineer with a focus on Y. I came across this role on your careers site which appears to be a good fit with my profile. Please find attached my resume for your consideration. Do you have availability in the next week to discuss the role and my background in more detail? Thanks, X.
That sounds good and makes sense. Should I not reference that I've already applied, then?
Not necessary. They'll be able to see that when they enter your info into the ATS.
