Best places to live near cupertino?

Moving from NYC for a role at Apple. What are some good neighborhoods for someone single, mid thirties, with a dog? So far I’m most interested in Campbell but Santa Clara also looks promising, but pretty large, so I’m not sure which section is desirable. TC: $270

Santa Clara is pretty good. Very close to Apple Park

Santa Clara is boring. Especially coming from NYC you will lose your mind. Campbell is fun for 2 weekends then you’re completely over it. It’s tiny. Downtown San Jose is ghetto and lame as hell. And will be for another 10 years until google transforms it a bit. Impossible to meet other eligible single people. Perhaps go look in Redwood City which is decently close but will allow you to go to SF. And it’s cheaper than Palo Alto. Whoever you meet in the city will lose interest if you say you’re living in Santa Clara.

Every single place in Bay Area is bad compared to NYC in terms of liveliness

Palo Alto. Lively downtown scene with lots of younger people from the tech scene and university. Find a place within walking of DT. Commute to Cupertino is mostly opposite traffic so drive is not bad at all. Train to the city is convenient too if you head up there. Campbell is ok but mostly suburban with a smallish DT area but is close to Los Gatos where all the wealthy pretty people live (nice town to hang in though). Santa Clara & Cupertino, bleh, unless you are married with kids. Sunnyvale and Mt View have small DTs areas too but nothing to write home about.

Campbell is really nice. Willow Glenn is also nice.

northern Campbell is probably the best for you. I live in Willow Glen, which is very nice, but maybe too far from Apple, as you’d be driving in traffic.
