Best product group for Google New Grad
What are the best product groups to join as a new grad at Google? Also what about for Google Seattle/kirkland?

First consider skill. Top group in search is no good if you do AngularJS all day and hate front end. Then consider prestige. Ads + Search are most prestigious cuz they make $$$. Be on a team that makes $$$. Then consider manager. Your manager decides your promo, bonus, raises, everything. Make sure you like him prior to joining. Ask friends in the company about the team if possible.
Screw prestige. You want to be working somewhere you will thrive. If you want to be close to users, search/ads isn't for you. If you want to work on optimizing big systems, a new consumer product isn't for you. Pick the area you will thrive in.
Seriously, imagine only taking a team because of its "prestige". Get in there, do good work and make it prestigious if you're that obsessive.
