Any suggestions
Alexander’s used to have a Michelin star, I don’t think they have anymore, but it’s pretty good still.
I really like Alexander’s for steak. The Sea is also really good if you prefer seafood. For general restaurants Manresa is a triple Michelin Star but also super pricy. Depends what you are looking for
Used to be good at their old location, even before the star. Now at the new location, yuck. Overrated and overpriced. I'd rather go to Hillstone in SF.
Alfred’s is the OG spot. Old fashioned steakhouse.
Take a cab ride to SFO, grab a flight to NY, head into midtown Manhattan and go to Nusret for some amazing steak!
FYI, you can buy steak house quality meat (dry aged wagyu) at Whole Foods and cook it yourself.
But do you have an 1800 degree salamander at home?
I have a 3600 degree propane torch. But in my experience, any temperature beyond 500 is going to burn your steak. This is why so many people swear by cast iron. They get hot, stays hot, but won’t get too hot to burn your steak.
Texas Roadhouse is my favorite and inexpensive.
