Best vacation places?

My girl friend is in India and I'm in bay area. We want to go on a vacation (preferably somewhere romantic). We are looking for some good places which are closer to both of us (flight time). Also preferably budget friendly.

We figured Bali is a good spot but it is very far from bay area. Any one have any suggestions? It would be great if we can find some place like Bali which are closer to both of us (also don't have long or complicated Visa process)

Thanks in advance 🙂

You can plan a budget trip to any Europian country as well. Stay in Airbnb/hostels and cook your own meals using store bought ingredients. We recently planned a 14night trip across Europe under $5000 for two.
I would suggest Italy: Tuscany, Rome, Amalfi coast.

There are plenty of cities and places in Europe besides the usual Paris, Rome, etc.
Check out Greece(Santorini) , Spain(South Eastern coast), French riviera, Croatia(has dozens of islands and beach destinations) , etc.

So many places to go, explore and have fun!

Getting to Bali is expensive, living inside Bali does not have to be. Cost was around $40/day in Kuta or Ubud for two people when I went. Seminyak is more, but going to Seminyak means you’re paying to vacation in the touristy party area of Bali

That's what I figured too. I can do ~100$ a night for hotel and can cover flight charges. I am hoping everything else is cheaper?

Honestly I haven't figured much. But in my mind I've always thought European countries are very expensive to travel.

I would say 3-5k would be reasonable.

Turkey. Indigo started the Delhi Istanbul route which costs 24k rupees return. It is Midway for both of you and well connected. Fairly cheap but not Bali cheap.

Europe, you can spend 2-3 days in major tourist places, 2-3 days exploring country side.
