Looking to join a gym semi-near my workplace in downtown SF. Any recommendations? I’m open to gyms (like Equinox/24) as well as group workout classes (Boxing, CrossFit, OrangeTheory) etc.
Group workouts/personal trainers that focus on HIIT cardio and lifting are preferred.
I’ve been going to the gym for years now and have gained some good strength, but now really want to double down on leaning out/fat loss seriously.
Any help is appreciated! Care more about good results than about optimizing for price at this point.

If fat loss is your goal, I’d recommend replacing all carbs in your diet with eating ass. It’s really low in calories.
- If you can sustain Crossfit, nothing like it. I improved all my medical parameters by doing 2 days of Crossfit and 4 days of moderate gym. However, look for the side effects too- if not done properly under expert supervision, it would lead to injury, mostly the knees, ankle and elbow. So join only authorised boxes with no more than 1:10 instructor ratio. It is fun when done correctly.
