What I like about this is several things: 1) Bezos is vested in being a part of the solution. 2) He is not asking for federal money 3) He is not bending to internal pressures to stop selling AWS services to carbon producers. 4) This plan is driven by a huge private entity and will do more by itself than all the slobbering ink put to the toothless Paris Climate Accord that basically had no enforcement and gave India and China a 10-year pass https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/finance-companies/jeff-bezos-unveils-sweeping-plan-to-tackle-climate-change/ar-AAHxpxA
Do you think it’s going to offset the carbon footprint of the newly rolled out 1-day shipping?
Great job by bezos and smart move. Other corporations will soon follow him, it just make economical sense for him to drive his fleet with cheap renewable energy. We will soon see alternative engines and technologies in aviation.
Actually many other corporations are ahead of Amazon. Bust still good news
Bezos isn’t addressing climate change. He’s addressing his own pocketbook.
