I heard from someone that folks with legit CS degree from legit Universities in US are having hard time getting a job because many don't want to sponsor their work visa?

Would be awesome for only those who are dumb and are afraid that someone smarter will take their job...

Honestly, be more afraid of AI, now thats something really hard to compete with

Because h1 is abused, and everyone with bachelor degree is coming even with 1 year experience

even if premium processing were cancelled all it would mean is you'd have to wait a few months longer.

it sounds like bullshit from someone who wants an excuse for being rejected for a job.

The only way big companies can find enough engineers is from abroad. Premium processing isn't a big draw for them. The lottery is in April but you can't start working until October, regardless.

I've never been at a company that did premium processing, all the companies I've worked at just did standard processing for me

It's true, not a company wide policy but specific roles will mention not sponsoring H1B. One of my friends is looking out and came across bunch of these at top companies

Fake news as far as I can tell when it comes to big companies. Anecdotally this seems to be happening at small startups (non-unicorn).
