Blind bluffing or what
New here, reading through posts on W2s and yoes, I realized how those numbers deviate from what I and my friends have. Seriously, how does a fb e4 having a 600k paycheck? I myself have received top band e4 offer before, and it tops at like, 350k a year(translates to top band TC ~700k). I have also seen Amazon L5 with a 950k W2, I have dozens of L5 friends from Amazon and none of them earn this much in Seattle or Palo Alto. I can list a handful of other crazy TC that's way out of the band than what recruiters told me. I'm genuinely interested in understanding how so many top 5% performers are on Blind, and how their W2s are so much higher than literally, all my ok-performing friends have.
I haven’t seen any E4 here claim to have 600k TC. Most numbers I have seen here correlate well with irl experience. Blind is a microcosm of real world, not top 5%
600k TC is actually achievable, mine was higher with competing offers from other FANG. top band is some where 167+360+100
Yeah but not for E4. There’s no way 360k worth of stock vests every year, div by 4. If 100k is sign on annualize that too. With paper money any TC number you can pull outta your a$$ is achievable, but again Blind community cautions against it

Generally TC above $400K is uncommon, at least from what I’ve seen. I only know a few people above. If I were to guess most people here make a normal amount (200-350)
that's what I thought, majority E4-E6 makes < 400k, at least within my friend circle.

I think you’re exaggerating. Haven’t seen any insane numbers on blind like you claim.
I saw a post with 168/400/100 on here for E4 but that was a research position.
Blind tc= (base*1.3)+(stock*insane growth expectation over vesting period)+(record breaking bonus %) 🤣
I doubt that's the case because people been swearing on those are their real W2 numbers.
