Blizzard non-tech internship

Curious if anyone here could provide insights into Blizzards non-tech internship experiences? Specially strategy/insights/finance but anything relevant is welcome and appreciated. I’ve read the dozen or so posts of death marches and slow pace which all look to be from the from SDE perspective, hoping for insight into the “corporate” side. Many thanks.

Peoples’ thoughts on the their internship. Project specifics (work done, tools used, things learned) would be fantastic. Any information pertaining to their interviews would be great, too. I gather from other classmates they utilize cases and behavior questions a great deal. I left it opened ended to not limit myself in responses. Were you a former MBA intern? If yes, how was the process of getting the full time position? The recruiter with which I spoke tells me the vast majority of their non-tech roles are filled with interns. I’d love to know about how many that is per year. Thank you!

The project you would be working on depends on the team/department you'll be joining. Knowing python, SQL will definately help you, familiarty in using data visualization software like Tableau or Kibana and Excel pivot tables. Your mentor/manager will definately be there to answer questions you have. Don't know much about the interview process as I was a PM intern. But for me, I had only 1 phone interview and 1 in-person meeting. Might be similar or different depending on role. Getting full-time is definately a slow process. This is what you'll hear pretty much everyday during the internship "think of the internship as a 3 month long interview". Getting an offer depends on whether the department has openings/space to hire you. It can take weeks or months before a return offer is sent to you. Each year, the number of interns increases, the class of 2018 had like 90 interns and for next year they plan to hire 120 interns. A considerable amount of interns are software engineers, game designers, PMs, UX/UI designers and lastly a mixture of PR, finance, insights etc.
