Facebook NY Offer (E3 New Grad): $115k base, $100k signing, $220k RSUs over 4 years, $10k relocation (Year 1 TC: $280k)
Currently interning at Bloomberg and expecting to receive a full time return offer. Is there any way Bloomberg can come close to the year 1 TC being offered by FB? If anyone has any suggestions on how to get Bloomberg to match as best as possible that'd be great.
Only considering these 2 for full-time because I want to be in NY and tired of interviewing lol.
Pros of FB: Better name on resume I think?, faster career progression, more $$, slightly better perks/benefits, more fast paced/modern, more of a tech company than BB in my experience.
Cons of FB: Not enthusiastic about products, questions about company's future trajectory (possible regulation/antitrust/etc.), bad public perception/constant negative news cycle/poor moral compass, poor WLB.
Pros of Bloomberg: Awesome WLB, HQ in NY (hence nicer NY office), non-public company and hence steadily flies under the radar, TC is all cash.
Cons of Bloomberg: Probably lot less $$ in Year 1, lots of legacy stuff and very not modern tech (though they seem to be trying to improve it a lot), no free breakfast/lunch/dinner like FB :(
I want to strongly consider Bloomberg but the main hiccup is likely massive difference in TC. FB pros would indicate it is a no-brainer but I keep having some hesitation about accepting the offer. Probably just recency bias due to the massive recent negative press about the company? Definitely still leaning towards just taking FB simply to collect that year 1 TC though.

Source: I had a 170k offer (without signing) but I didn't have a competing FB offer like OP's.
