Any Chance I could get some advice on Boeing interview process? I'm hoping to work as a Aersospace test and evaluation engineer
There lots of info online. Star questions only
1st question is always something like “tell us what has prepared you for this job? This is your chance to sell yourself... go over schooling, related work experience, projects, etc.
The first thing the recruiter will do after picking you for an interview is give you a PDF that walks you through the exact steps of a structured interview. The first question and wrap up are the only non-STAR parts. Just prep for the generic STAR prompts.
Sell your technical expertise because they didn't ask me specifically about it, which was weird. They focused a lot on behavioral questions. There is a safety related and cultural adaptability question. Use examples.
Are boeing still follow the same interview process? I got an onsite interview invitation for system specialist at the Everett office. I wonder what I should prepare.
It's exactly as described on Glassdoor. HR won't ever let them stray from the exact STAR questions each interviewer picked before the call. And there will be an HR rep listening in. Don't be afraid to entirely fabricate answers to stupid questions like "tell us about a time you dealt with diversity in the work place." Just think of it as akin to a creative writing exercise: the grader doesn't care about the content near as much as the delivery. And don't stress about weird silences. They're just filling out the awkward scoring sheet they were given.
I feel like that just let's so many bad or unqualified hires through. Not even one technical question related to my direct job responsibility.
I can confirm. When I was studying for my interview I took every question from glassdoor and made a “cheat sheet” that I had in front of me during the phone interview. I did well.
“Why do you wanna join ? “That’s my question. Next could be “Are you crazy ??” and the follow up could be “how much? “
SPEEA side- Star format. Typically pre selected questions and an interview panel with 3 or more people. One will usually be the first level manager of the area, next will have a couple higher ranking peers and on an off chance another manager or 2nd level. Formal and quick but will become more conversational if you have the verbal skills and the panel is chill.
Depends on department but for me we care a lot about your past experience over grilling you on technical problems. If you’re entry level, talk the heck out of your internship or senior project.
I did the onsite a few weeks ago. They ask 5 STAR questions. It was all very formal and not very conversational
If any of your interviewers are late, and aren’t awkward, there’s usually some time for informal conversations
