I had on site at amazon and bombed on one question.. i never understood what the interviewer wanted.. seeing the interviewers teaction after i asked the follow up questions..im glad i bombed it :)
Don’t be happy yet , if other rounds went well They’ll still suck u in
Lol
Problem is im already in a shitty place and dont want to be in another place like this..i went in with an open mind tbh
If you have no hard feelings then that’s good but amazon has 500,000 employees. Judging it based off one employee seems shortsighted.
I did the same a while back. Felt that it was all OK said and done, and given the no feedback policy and abrupt end to it all I won’t be reapplying there.
I agree - worse thing is to not get feedback , because you don’t know what is in the mind of interviewer
You are likely going to get hired
Shit like that happens in all FANG. Hence you need some luck to get into a company. This one interviewer at fng( I wont mention who) was so moronic he didnt even understand the question he was asking ie inputs/toutputs. There are bad interviewers in every company. Make sure you highlight that in interview survey.
On to the next one don’t sweat it
Well done. If you want I can help you by putting you in the permanent non-hirable list. This way you will never get any call from amazon recruiters for the rest of your life. But may be you are in it already given that you bombed it.
Someone sounds defensive.
I passed an interview where I bombed a question while the interviewer was watching youtube so you might move on!!!! 😋😋😋
Huh? What was the reaction?
The gist of it was i was asked on oop/design pattern and i proposed 2 alternatives (not sure if it was correct tbh) then i asked "do you follow the best practices of design patterns and use reference implentation in your everyday job".. interviewer suddenly smiles after hearing this question.. and gives a politically correct answer ..
You are a prick, amazon dodged a bullet
