Hi , I have a flight at 6 am . Has anyone booked Uber at 4am ? Just wanted to know if it is safe. Do they arrive at time. Do we need to book in advance a day before?
You probably will get Uber Black suv.
You can schedule a ride in advance (the clock in the “Where To” bar). But yes, there will be drivers at 4am in any moderately-sized city. Wait times may be slightly longer.
Straight from the source.
I would advice against advance booking. Uber’s advance booking is plain stupid. It actually isn’t advance booking. It just means that the app will start searching for the ride at a designated time. And you will most likely be charged a surge during that time. And if there are no drivers available the app will tell u to buzz off. So it defeats the whole concept of advance booking. Annoyingly stupid.
You’ll be fine unless you live in the middle of nowhere
I live in Fremont. Not sure if it is middle of nowhere 😀
I have done that before without booking ahead of time. The driver came from really far away, but what bothered me was that the driver mentioned he had been working since 8pm the night before. He looked really tired.
I've done this three times. Once, the guy looked tired as hell, like another commenter pointed out, another time the guy was ok, and the last time the driver hit yes but must have gone back to sleep and I had to ask my wife to get up and drive me to the airport. Now, I just pay for parking.
I’ve done it plenty of times. Just Schedule in Advance and you’ll be good. Several drivers start super early before their day job or to get more airport fares
Thanks
I have done it before. It was a fairly good experience. But you never know.
In bay area, it's fine. In Baltimore....not!
I understand the need for Bay Area folks to jizz on everything outside CA but don’t spread misinformation.
Relax. That was my personal experience when I almost missed an early morning flight
All the time. They are used to getting airport runs at this hour
Should be fine. Also should be fast too since there aren’t many cars on the road.
Thanks
