Boomerang back to MSFT
Currently at level 62 in Microsoft, thinking of interviewing at Amazon to improve my TC. Planning to stay there for few years and switch back(love the overall laid back culture). How is the interview process like when I want to come back? Should I go through phone interview or online screening before onsite? TC ~210k
What team at Microsoft is laid back?
Why laid back? You would want to have fun. You canโt do that without building stuff. I am at oracle for a variety of reasons not worth mentioning. But seriously MS is the best company to work at.
If you want laid back work... go to the Midwest and make 80K. Sounds stupid but if that is what you want go for it. If you want to be happy when you go home... then actually build something- then no matter where you go you can be happy. Because you accomplish something.
From a fun and money perspective. Take a hit and go to a start up. Think of it as an MBA. Then go back. But... make your engineering skills better. Way better. If you can do that in the process, you can totally re-level in two years
