Box v Google Situation
Currently have an incredible situation at Box. amazing manager and great team and learning a lot. Google reached out and after interviewing me are now offering me 140k more in TC annually. Really conflicted because I love my situation but 140k TC a year seems like too much to pass up. Thoughts?
How are you being paid so little compared to Google? What’s the TC currently? I just don’t see how Box can afford to compete with google is they are paying 140k less
It’s more the fact that G gives bonuses
Either ask manager to match up or take Google offer

How do you feel about the google team based on the interview? For a moment, assume they were the worst. Would you work with them for a year for +140k?
They seem ok but the team I have at Box is special. It’s hard to judge G based on a short interview with each person. Both situations are great, one is just awesome
Box vs google long term prospects?
No one should not take that type of income growth because they’re friends at work. Visit them for happy hour every so often. 140k is like getting a SO. It will change your life. Assuming they’re not being worked into the ground tho. Google has good wlb tho.
All my Box friends who went to Goog are miserable, many did 2 years and split. You are a small cog in a big wheel there
