Let this post be a wake up call for all H1b holders, so that they wont feel trapped by any Visa law firm for their lackluster processing. Also, the respective HR teams, please let the candidates know what the law firms they wanted to take it up. We have seen enough post about Fragomen's unprofessional-ism. So guys, to help the folks, please share your Other Law firms experiences, so that people can have better options. To HR teams, Fragomen is not an only option, they are utterly slow, no communication, high charge law firm. Those who are interested please go through the following case processing of mine Sept 30 - Offer Accepted Oct 9 - Fragomen first contact. Request for documents Oct 11 - All document submitted // After 3 days Oct 14 - Fragoman returns asking for more additional document Oct 15 - Added 3 more payslips and transcripts // No response after that Oct 22 - Follow up mail, no response from fragoman, Case changed to LCA processing start // Next 2 weeks No Response Nov 1 - Follow up mail, whats the status, after a weekend, One response, that they have got LCA certified. Nov 4 - I request for timeline ( my hiring manager needs to know dates and was pushing me on call ) . // No Response of mail. // Waited 3 more days, and this time, I personally called them to talk to my case representative. This is my second call after no response to my first call. Secretary or front desk received my call, I asked to have a talk with my case representative, she reached out to her and got back to me saying, she was busy !!! I left message asking her to respond to my mail, yet no response so far. Now, this is very much of a problem from everyone's point. There is no one winning here. We have a commitment as a HR to fill the team, as a hiring manager to be more productive and as a engineer to be certain where we will be in next month. For those who says, all law firms are lackluster, In comparison, my original h1b processing took literally 7 business days to file ( 2 days weekend made 9 days total ), For LCA 4 days, 2 days for document collection and processing and during all these whole 5 weeks, all fragomen has done is LCA certification and their lack of communication and speed is next to an utmost unprofessional.
Erickson is good too
Oh no you are here too
Gtfo cerner
Agree that Fragomen in slow, it also varies a lot on your assigned para legal. Has similar timeline , offer accepted around sep end, filed oct 23rd and now in RFE since oct 29th ,
22 days to file vs 5 weeks and yet I dont think I am going to file till next week end. It is unacceptable.
Did u get RFE even for Facebook?
AFAIK Fragomen has different SLAs at different cost points. I expedited my H1b once, and came to know that they charged my employer an expedite fee
Its not worth at all. They overcharge.. much more than any other law firm.. They get RFE's I dont see a point. My first h1b firm is small one, very responsive.. I would pick en anyday over them
Of course there is no point if there is no urgency and you have no lawyer alternatives. But in case there is no alternative, expedite is an option
My experience with Fragomen is similar with yours OP. Accepted offer on September 4, Visa filed on Nov 1.
For them we are just 1 of 1000s. We should be allowed to fill up those forms because that's all those paralegals do anyway. Those forms are not rocket science and we can easily fill them up for the attorneys to approve.
BAL in my experience has been pretty good.
Hi how long did bal take ? I feel they are slow as well. Can you tell me how long it took for your Lca ?
Don't remember much, but they were quick. After I joined, they also auto-started my I140 process within weeks and I had an approved I140 in about 6 months including perm certification and everything. The policy seems to be auto-apply immediately, and always apply premium if possible. Might be employer specific.
