How is this browser going to change the entire business model of advertising ? https://brave.com/ Are they not going to be destroyed by Google? I don’t think traditional advertising companies will be very happy if it takes off.... What do you think?
How is it different from Firefox focus browser?
Brave works on Mac and PC as well. And brave is planning to monetize using BAT coin.
Not only traditional ad companies but also publishers that rely on ad $. It’s the right move from a ux standpoint when chrome is expected to limit pop up ads and the like in March. All those ad trackers, regathering pixels are what’s going to take a hit for those in the ads biz. But it’s also what browsers are aiming to improve from a user perspective. It’ll be hard for brave to get mass appeal but it’s got a lot going for them
Seems like a lame cash grab. I don't see BAT ever getting big . Pass
Just like the industry deal with ad blocker. They don't show you the content until you disable it.
This may remove garbage from poorly designed websites, but most revenue from Google comes from the search itself, and you cannot block ads there. Unless there is some AI that can parse an already rendered page.
True and if you check their career job they are hiring some machine learning engineer .... maybe you are right
