Does C# have any future outside MS? I see server side = Linux + Java (or C++) Client side = browser+ js What you guys think?
If you are interested in game development you could use C# in unity game engine.
Asp.net core? Crossplatform? Wasnt core 2.0 released today? Also, xamarin
I don't know anyone who knows c#
Yes for games
I got nervous for a sec
For games maybe
Enterprise is all c#. More of big finance is c# than you'd expect.
That's not at all true
Both parts are true. Every generic enterprise app out there is winforms or wpf. I worked at an HFT firm that used a lot of C#. Sure, their fastest trading algorithms were C, but all of their back office and post processing was C#. They weren't the only one.
Future is bright.
let's hope it dies

Is Mono dead?
Pretty much, but only because .NET core is the new thing and superior
Damn that's a shame. Mono seemed promising way back when to run C# on Linux.
