Campus Recruitment

Nov 15 9 Comments

I am about to graduate next year. So lot of companies(MNC) have started off campus recruitment. I have pretty good academics and portfolio. I want to pursue machine learning/data science in the future. I have done many projects and bootcamps to get a good grip on these fields. But these MNC's are offering the role of "trainee engineer" with a very low pay and the work isnt anywhere near my field of interest.
So should I still apply for a desk job and slowly develop experience and then dive into MLE/ds roll or instead work for a good startup and develop expirience as a DS/ML area?
MNC- infosys, TCS, LTI, capegeminie etc.

If you are planning to for masters you better join some company which is well known in the place where you are going for masters.

Actually I am planning on doing masters in canada. So I dont think working in a well known company here(in) will count as anything as it's not related to field of interest. Atleast that's why I have been told. Am I right?

Yeah i mean to say that work in a reputed company with job profile that aligns with your field of interest. I got offers from PayPal and a startup paying more than PayPal. But that startup is Indian startup. So I chose PayPal

I'm guessing you're from India. In that case, do indeed go for a masters. Unless you want to an IIT, your undergrad won't mean anything in the US. Can't comment about your main question.
