Men are almost half of the total U.S. population, but are a majority (91%) of the incarcerated population. Women are just 9% of the incarcerated population. Studies indicate that men aren't necessarily more criminal by design but there is an institutional bias against them. For example, men are regularly given much longer sentences and "female arrestees are also significantly likelier to avoid charges and convictions entirely, and twice as likely to avoid incarceration if convicted." #institutionalBias https://www.prisonpolicy.org/graphs/pie2016_gender.html
I've always heard that men commit more crimes, especially violent crimes that lead to longer sentences. Can you find links for the studies you're referring to?
Lenient arrests & sentencing https://www.law.umich.edu/newsandinfo/features/Pages/starr_gender_disparities.aspx Are criminal courts more lenient on women? https://journalistsresource.org/studies/government/criminal-justice/courts-lenient-sentencing-bond-women Pg. 127 Different treatment of offenders based on gender https://www.ussc.gov/sites/default/files/pdf/research-and-publications/research-projects-and-surveys/miscellaneous/15-year-study/chap4.pdf Why men are more likely to go to prison https://goodmenproject.com/ethics-values/sentencing-gap-men-likely-go-prison-mrzs/ Percentage of incarceration by gender https://www.statista.com/chart/11573/gender-of-inmates-in-us-federal-prisons-and-general-population/ Why feminists need to discuss gender disparity in the criminal justice system http://www.statepress.com/article/2016/10/spopinion-gender-disparity-in-the-criminal-justice-system
Do any of those show that men aren't more criminal though? Cause I believe that the justice system is more lenient towards women, but that doesn't mean most of the incarceration gap isn't from men committing more and worse crimes.
Oh come on
Findings include: 1) Women were less likely to be detained before trial. They were 46 percent less likely than men to held in jail prior to a trial. 2) Women who were released on bond were given lower bond amounts. Their bonds were set at amounts that were 54 percent lower than what men were required to pay. 3) Women were 58 percent less likely to be sentenced to prison. For defendants who were sentenced to prison, there generally was no gender disparity in the length of the sentence. There were disparities in sentencing for some individual types of crime, however. For example, female defendants convicted of theft received longer prison sentences than male defendants convicted of theft. Women convicted of “other property offenses” – a category of crimes that includes arson, receiving stolen property and breaking and entering — received shorter prison sentences. 4) Black female defendants were, in some ways, treated differently than white female defendants. Black women were assigned higher bond amounts and were more likely to be sent to prison than white women. Women of both races were equally likely to be released prior to trial.
If men are more criminal and more violent, it might be true that even if a man and a woman commit the same crime, the man poses more of a future threat to society. So the disparity in who goes to prison might not even be an undesirable result here. Do you happen to know the recidivism rates of men vs. women?
So you believe the law should not apply equally to every individual?

There is bias in all walks of life. Not denying that. But all your posts and replies show that you have bias against women. Can A.I. fix that?!
Perhaps you are not reading all my posts. I vehemently oppose discrimination. Perhaps you’re own bias is injected. Understanding the root cause of confirmation biases helps society acknowledge the underlying construct and resolve unwarranted double standards.
