Will Amazon cancel your GC application after I-140 approval? What if your were in Devplan/Pip and left during that?

Big companies have no motive to cancel your GC application in general unless you piss them off.

What are good examples of pissing them off?

Saying/doing shit to anyone who matters before leaving.

Is going to a competitor pissing off or result in them cancelling it?

I don’t think so. I’ve also heard if they do cancel your i140 you can’t use it for visa renewals but you can still retain your priority date as long it’s not withdrawn for fraud but don’t take my
      Word for it.

You need i-485 pending for 180 days in order to resume original process started by Amazon. If you are PIPed out before that - contact immigration lawyer (personal) for your options.
Amazon has no reasons to interfere with your immigration process, but they will no longer spend billable hours on it.

So it’s safe to move after I-485 has been pending for more than 180 days? Can anyone who has done it confirm pls? Looks like I need to extend my stay by ~2 months to hit 180 :-(.

Correction. 180 days after i 140 has been approved. For majority of H1B holders priority dates are not concurrent and i485 cannot be filed concurrently

Yes, you can move after your 485 has been filed for at least 180 days. It’s called Ac21 portability. The catch is that your new job should have the same code .

Technically they can. The question you should ask is will they?

It costs $1500-$2000 to cancel the approved I-140 petition. So unless you cause damage to the company, they will not cancel that.
