I got an internship offer around March for November and Amazon was to apply for a Visa for me. I have not heard anything about the visa process except that the company they hired is working on it. The internship is supposed to start next week. I emailed the recruiter and have not heard back for 3 weeks now. Is it possible Amazon has rescinded the offer?
To the best of my knowledge, yes the can. Unfortunately since in most states employment is “at will” by most parties and can end at anytime for any reason. Whether they are actually withdrawing an offer or not is what I would look at- I find it hard to believe and extremely unprofessional of them to rescind an offer without notifying you or even getting back to your email. If I were you I would reach out to the recruiter again and press for an answer (professionally) and possibly follow the email up with a phone call if you have their number.
Will try that thanks
You could have mailed the hr and they would check with fragomen to do the needful :)
I emailed HR and they talked of a possible delay to the start date at the advice of the recruiter and still the recruiter is not saying anything
Is it possible the HR left? Can u ask someone else?
