Can I hide the previous

If I accept an offer now from startup then attend grace hopper ( my goal) to get offers from FAANG ( dream companies ) . Shall I mention to the interviewers that I start anew position 2 months ago or exclude this position from my resume . If I mention it , they will ask why you wanna leave after 2 months and they may not give me an offer right ?

Frankly, nothing will work. My friend interviewed after joining/accepting-they just don’t see you as a serious candidate unless your company was in the news of being shutdown or you’ve been with the company for 5-6 months

Then it’s best to be transparent and put it in your resume. Make sure you have a pretty good and convincing ‘why are you looking for another opportunity’. The reason I say to be transparent is bc- say after 3 months you did not get another offer, you will need to now put this current job in your resume. The folks with whom you interviewed with already will now know and you will potentially break trust. You won’t be able to go back and build that relationship again. Be transparent and build a good convincing story.

Resumes are supposed to be short and convey the most relevant information for the job. A 2 month experience at a job is not relevant enough. You are not required to put everything there as you will see with advise on people with longer history often trim it down to the latest 5-10 years. An application form is different and you would be expected to have complete information. Background checks are done referencing application forms.

You can exclude whatever the hell you want on a resume, just don’t lie. When it comes time for a background check, you’ll need to list everything, but those are done by an outside vendor and the hiring manager will only glance to make sure you passed.

You have no need to mention it. Talk about the job you quit prior to the one you’re at... mention you’re entertaining some side projects until you find the right position (no need to get more specific than that) and refocus on the opportunity at hand. It’s none of their fucking business. People who get hung up on “job hopping” are old timing idiots. It’s as if you can’t find good talent in someone who makes moves. You know what you want and you know who you are and what you can achieve. That is ALL that matters.
