Suppose I got a job at a different company, is there anyway I can join their blind channel before actually joining the company? I think blind offers real culture insight For example: The Amazon channel has so much of dev list and pips The msft channel has so many threads of low pay Etc Really think it would be a cool feature I'm even willing to pay a subscription fee for that info. Your thoughts?
Currently this doesn't exist right?
One could theoretically create a new account using a dummy LinkedIn profile employed at said company
Blind doesn't actually give a representative view in my opinion.
It gives you a view into common problems. For example I'd rather deal with Lower pay than deal with forced attrition
You only have to deal with that if you're bottom of the barrel. Lower pay impacts everyone. Anyway the point of blind is full of all the people who are upset and the majority that aren't are mostly not here. There was a poll here once about how many were LE and it was something like a third, whereas we know at the company it's 10%. So that's 3x the number here.
Pay monthly for access to one company channel (allowed 1 company change per month) ? Plus more messages, name changes, etc
Would probably be more enticing if you could get access to 5 or so company channels, so if you get multiple offers you can use blind to determine which one is a better fit
