Can msft put in pip

I joined msft 1 month ago. But i am taking time to complete my tasks and expectations are too much from me. I have 3 yoe and joined as l61. This may be because change in technology stack and little help in kt and all for the codebase. Can they put me pip and how soon. Looking insight from exp candidates. I heard msft is hire slow fire slow.

Stop overthinking

Take your time. No one expects anything from you for first 6 months.

6 months is too long unless the hire is a new grad. But expectations will be less if hired at same level or down leveled.

6 months is usual rampup time for big firms like MSFT and Google. There is just too much proprietary tech to ramp up on. And also it's not like you are sleeping for 6 months, you just aren't working on production critical projects.

Just tell your manager your getting anxiety from all the work. And say what are ways you can show you’re doing a good job

I wouldn’t LOL, this shit is fucking real. You think it feels shitty like a PIP then trust your instinct. Performance improvement plan is never going to be won by a level 64 or below.

I was a manager at MSFT: you’re on the way to PIP but can’t be PIPed first year. Get out ASAP, you can’t win a PIP.
