I had an interview in one tech company. The recruiter said there are 3 updates. 1) Interview was good, 2) they want follow up coding interview, and 3) they want to switch title from ML engineer to Applied Scientist. My interaction with them started almost 3 months ago. I had 6 interviews, excluding lunch and recruiter round, onsite. Plus I had one hour long phone interview. Only one onsite interview went not too good, all others were alright. In the bad interview, the person was negative from the beginning, ask pretty difficult coding question. I tried to solve, demonstrated my knowledge in data structures and algorithms. It was not fair and interaction was negative, even though I tried my best to flip it to positive. Based on many positive interviews and the role which requires specialized skillset, I was expecting offer or rejection response. I mentioned to recruiter what happened with the negative interviewer. I ask is there a consensus for title switch or just idea of that specific guy. I accepted both updates, coding and title change. I am not sure if I sounded little disappointed or frustrated on the phone, maybe I emit some negative emotions as well, but nothing inappropriate. I told that I can do the coding next week. 2 days passed, he did not schedule it and no response. Can she provide any feedback or change the decision based on his assessment of my reaction?
