It’s the first time in my lifetime I’ve seen such honesty and emotion from a president while also explaining the hard decisions they have to make. Just watch it till the end before commenting please. Thanks https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/status/1182075837962690560?s=21
MAGA indeed. Enough with these stupid wars.
While, he tweeted it's a mistake to start those wars in middle East, but I guess tons of civilians died because of the mistake. Are we responsible for or do we need to pay for their death? Like if you killed a person by mistake, even there is no one can punish you because you are the Superman, do not you need to say sorry at least?
MAGA! From Russia, With Love.
Syria’s all yours Putin, eat your heart out
It be especially hard to sign those letters if you couldn’t even explain why the fuck we were there in the first place
Because of decades of American imperialism and centuries of European colonialism before that, mostly.
Bring them home!
The topic of the speech was about the US-sanctioned Turkish invasion that led to the deaths of heaps of Kurds, including innocent children, right? And this was his way of making people focus on a few potentially-saved American (i.e. better) lives? Yeah, par for the course, but a bit more eloquent than normal.
That’s the thing. It’s a hard decision. What are the other options? I know I would not be able to make any good decision when faced with the predicament. Should the US perpetually police that region at perpetual loss of US lives? If they can not resolve it with sanctions or a deal it’s much better imo.
They should remain as peacekeepers, possibly as part of NATO or UN forces, until they've cleaned up after themselves. If that takes 50 years, so be it, as long as they're not expanding the sphere of the war, and are just anchoring a secure area in the region. Meanwhile, Kurdistan should totally be a state.
It’s ok to just admit that you will support the president no matter what awful things he does
Wow dude I almost cried when they talked about the parents. It’s time to stop.
What about the parents of the kids that were killed because the US got out of Erdoğan's murderous way?
They were fighting for hundreds of years before the US went there and likely to continue; the world is a terrible terrible place. It’s a hard decision to pull out troops but should we let american lives be lost perpetually? I honestly think none of us have the right answer
Love how the peace-loving end-the-war lefties suddenly want US to stay in Syria.
Lol so true
Let's stop fighting. We should focus on improving ourselves and bring each other up before we fight these endless wars.
It blows my mind that there are so many warmongers that think the US should be a permanent police force in northern Syria.
They weren’t until this week. Just repeating the new cycles talking points. It’s just become so pathetic how this manufactured hatred is caused this mob mentality it’s I’ve never seen anything this Intellectually embarrassing in my lifetime
