A report from Firstpost claims that increasingly millennials are more attracted towards Canada than US. I have a strong feeling (and hope) that Canada will soon lead the race for innovation and bright talent.
With their 45% tax rate
Lol ๐ The moment they land in Canada, most of them will be desperate to get their hands on the passport and leave it for US, or some might even leave sooner.
We have a huge trade imbalance with China and theyโre complaining? GUD. Means trump is on the right track.
This is great news of US. Pretty soon Canadians will realize they have been sold overseas. Their real estate has already been sold to Chinese, and now their manufacturing. Enjoy paying 45% tax, but hey! you have free health care eh?
You don't understand economics
I'll consider this a possibility when Lena Durham or Snoop Dogg moves to Canada
Title of this post is way off. We just lowered corporate tax rates to 21% and are slashing regulations. We sure as hell are open to business. Putting up tarrifs doesn't affect business here, it affects business in China and is largely a tactic to get them to finally open up their markets, which would be positive for US based business.
Canada has 20% corporate tax and isn't anti trade. The US has partly caught up to Canada on the low corporate taxes, but is falling behind on trade.
Falling behind on letting China rip us off? I'm cool with that.
Because Canada NEEDS TO BE, a lot of Canadaโs extends from its location next to the US.

I think we should have tariffs from China. Why let them undercut American businesses. Why incentivize business to buy from China / use Chinese manufacturing
I think we should have zero tariffs because it's clearly better for the economy. If China wants to subsidize Americans that's great.
Disagree. Europe did the exact same thing i.e added 30% tariff on Chinese imports a few years back.
