Cancelled orders suck.
Working for postmates sometimes I end up driving 6 miles only to find out I am forced to cancel the order for a variety of reasons or the order gets cancelled, I don't get paid for those 6 miles (and 6 miles driving back). That may not be much but it wastes time and that's vital as we don't get paid hourly.

Payment happens with delivery. Not scalable and can cause fraud if non deliveries are paid out

I might. I was offered a job at a local BMW dealership but how is the pay with ubereats?
It's horrible. You get about 1/2 as much as an Uber trip of the same distance. Example, here in Pittsburgh, Uber is $1.10 a mile and $0.15 a minute and they keep 25%. UberEats is $0.90 a mile, $0.00 a minute, and they keep 35%. No pay for driving to restaurant, nor for waiting at restaurant. So that 6 mile delivery would pay $3.51 total.
