I am seriously considering cancelling my cable tv subscriptions. I have a package deal that includes tv and internet, but no one is watching tv in my household. We already have a Netflix and Youtube tv subscription. Do you think this is a good idea? How many of you still have cable tv, what are the benefits to keeping it? I feel like Netflix has all the shows my kids and my wife watch, and Youtube tv has all the sports that I need. What's the benefit of cable tv that I'm missing, let me know.

- Microsoft opsiedaisyNothing. YouTube TV will take care of everything. Save the money on cable and get FOIS instead.
- Western Digital / Eng OlibrimoreEnter your address at https://antennaweb.org/ to find out which uhf antenna you need. You get all local channels for free in higher quality HD than Comcast. Totally legal. You can also get a usb dongle to save streams to your pc if you want to record and skip commercials (personally I use Kodi on win 10).

Buy a mohu HD TV antenna if you need to watch local games.
- A10 Networks / R&D fropsermoreHaven't owned a tv for 10yrs. Basic internet + <streaming service> is usually enough, unless you like paying to watch ads at a rediculously loud level between shows, or buy ppv on top of $150-$200+ cable tv packages. Put that cash in a savings account for your kids instead.
