That’s probably pretty close. I was quoted ~$400k for a pretty similar role (though it was a director vs senior director).
I'm just guessing. I really doubt senior directors get paid so much. There are thousands of them.

McLean or Richmond? Richmond pay rates are pegged at national average scale. McLean runs about 19% higher (higher cost of living). Couldn't tell you pay ranges for Dir/Sr Dir but can tell you that bonus and stock options form significant portion of compensation - the higher up you are, the greater the bonus portion of your compensation. Glassdoor has some salary info out there that may be helpful. Your bonus is dictated by your performance rating. Typically when an offer is made you will be told the bonus range as well as what it would amount to if your performance rating were at the "strong" level, which is where 50-60% of folks end up.
Be aware of what u r getting into here. Cap1 is about taking advantage of subprime borrowers who already have 4 other cards, and optimizing their data model for fee generation. Very different from "doing no harm"...

As a newly hired Director , individual contributor in Tech, my target compensation with a decent review is about 250. Add 15% if you’re in northern VA.
What's the break down of salary vs bonus? Interesting that it's hard to find directors disclose their compensation. Wonder if they have some sort of painful non disclosure.
