They hire talent from top schools mostly, but I find the TC on levels.fyi to be pretty low. Why are top school graduates joining them ? Current location : bay area Current position : SE 2 Current company : SAP TC: 135K YOE: 1.5 YEARS
Don’t take it
1 good reason to consider moving from SAP to Cap1? You may grow up the ranks soon, but Sr Manager is where all the fun ends, total compensation capped at about $150K
CapOne does not pay FAANG type money if that’s what you’re expecting. They do pay significantly higher than the average software job outside of the Bay Area. I’d say TC for new grad probably caps at 120 and for senior 165 sounds about right. They don’t give stock as far as I know so that severely limits the comp they’ll give. They’re the biggest employer in the DC area where I’m located and I know several people who work there. I hear mixed reviews based on what team you land in. They’re trying to be a tech company instead of a traditional big bank. My evaluation is that they’ve done a much better job of this than a lot of similar companies, but still have a long way to go.
Yes if you want to live in Virginia, otherwise hell no
Why, Plano, TX ain't no bad! What's bad is TC
Yes if you’re Indian otherwise fuck no
They're TC is low for the bay area but high for other places where the market is different.
Levels fyi don’t have it?
They do, but too low from what I have seen
Dunno about Cap1 specifically, but comparing blind data with levels data things seem legit, unless they feed off of each other 🤔
