Joining careem as a software engineer. What areas do you recommend to look for housing? Also do u recommend owning a car or using careem to work? Notes: Living alone. (Studio/1 bedroom) Relocating from Europe Range: 30K-60K AED per year Proximity to good malls/gyms

60k AED is only, like, 16k USD. Even with 0% income tax, PASS! Are you sure they're paying this per year, not per month?
60K is the rent price that OP is looking, not the salary
Definitely Dubai Marina. Currently you can find nice 1 br apartments in Mag 218, Princess tower, Marina heights... they're in 5 minutes of walk from Careems head office. Also prices do fall in your range.. PM me if you need more info.

I talked to a Careem recruiter earlier this year but comp didn't seem very competitive. Could you share TC and YOE? Also, when I asked, their comp consisted mainly of your base. No stocks, no benefits.
