Career advice for moving to Seattle

I'm a data analyst/political consultant living on the east coast, looking to move to Seattle. My company on the east coast is relatively well recognized as the best, re:McKinsey of the political consulting world. Trying to move into VC/IB/Finance; anyone have any ideas on what the best first move would be? Looking for smaller firms, not JP Morgan/TD Ameritrade BS. Should I reach out to recruiters/float resumes/blind apply?

The Seattle job market is like 50% amzn /msft so just keep that in mind

Not Seattle for finance. Almost no VC presence and a smattering of private wealth / asset management shops. No real investment banking. There's corp dev at the f500 companies here (requires prior ib or pe experience) or the more pedestrian fp&a. Anyway, unless your consulting job gave you a great network (in SF or NY), you won't be getting any of those jobs anywhere unless you can grind out a dcf or three statements model in your sleep. An analytics job might be a good fit based on your background though.
