~2 yoe have an SDE1 offer from amazon with tc - 180k (Seattle) I like the team, HM and work being done there. Google and Facebook seem to not have headcount. Should I take up the job and interview there(at g/f etc) when promoted to sde2, or should I wait it out and interview towards end of year? Current TC - 100k
Whats the TC breakdown? Expecting some numbers today or tomorrow for SDE1 in Seattle
Is this in AWS? That's pretty much top of the band for a SDE1.

Have you talked to actual recruiters from G/FB? From my sources they’re not looking for junior engineers (less than 5 YOE).
The g recruiter said they’ll have headcount by q4. No estimates for fb. How much time would an experienced hire take to get promoted from sde1-2?
So you’re thinking of turning down an 80% increase in TC for a potential opportunity to interview with G/FB later? I can’t tell if this is some attempt at a subtle brag or just actual stupidity. Of course you take the Amazon job right now

Your TC jumps by 80% and you can interview later this year with FB/G and use your new TC as leverage for even larger TC. I’m failing to see what your thought process is to why you would even consider turning down Amazon right now. How did you even get an offer there — this is like FizzBuzz level human logic
