Hi all, I am a mechanical engineer by trade and right now I've been a mobile freelancer for about three years, got apps in both iOS and Android platform. However, I've been honing in on becoming a android developer solely, because i didnt want to be a generalist but rather a specialist. Long story short, i really want to make it a life long career and eventually want to end up in one of the FAANG company. I am currently on a h1b so company might get put off by that, and my green card is 2 years away, what do you guys suggest i should do? How do i effectively use those 2 years and worthy to enter a FAAnG company? Thanks!

Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?

Avoid teams with only Chinese or Indians especially with a Chinese/Indian manager
2 years is a good time to learn anything! Start learning data structures and algorithms, do courses on Coursera and if possible pursue online MS degree from GA tech, Start learning other things such as web apps, frontend or backend and cloud computing this way you can be a general SWE instead of just app developer
Why GA tech??
Heard good reviews but you can consider other options too!
