https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-49974289 So much whining from Europe about Hong Kong opression, yet they so the same to their own regions And no I'm not Chinese and don't like what they do either, I just hate double standards.
How familiar are you with both catalunia and Hong Kong cases? It looks like you judge by the headlines of some news papers. Both cases are very different under the hood.
Both cases are citizen protesting more or less peacefully. But in Europe they act even harder than China, that's the point here
No thats not what the Catalan case is about. You should read about it before posting
I supported free Catalonia but nobody cared it joined me. Europe is all about double standards and xenophobia and hypocrisy
double standard is already so obvious in the responses above😏china is evil so anything against it is respectful, us and its allies stand for freedom and liberty so anything against them are evil. this is basically how a ordinary western individual think about politics after years over years brainwash from them politicians and media. their brains are not capable of making their own independent thinking and judgement.
Yep I too hate this dichotomy. Both have bad and good sides
Can people in Catalán say "fuck Spain" without the fear of getting shot by riot police? Can people in Honk Kong? There's your difference, smart guy.
you can go to hongkong and say fuck china. i am pretty sure you won’t be shot. people get arrested because they attack innocent people and set fire to buildings. i don’t blame you for your stupidity. but you cannot just believe whatever your media tells you.
So you're saying China isn't a communist country?
The ruling was over an attempt to start an independence referendum, which was not allowed under the constitution. Nobody was "disappeared", the trial was legit, and everyone is still free to demand independence and rights.
Shhhh, don't wreck their attempt at misinformation and propaganda
Right here mofo, this is why fuck China is.gd/4FE7DY
Well, HK doesn’t ask for independence
But they are protesting against their master country just like Catalonia. But only sympathy for hk
How is protesting case equal to your Spain case? Where are you from?
