Expecting an offer(Non-engg role). They are open for Charlotte and Atlanta. Planning to buy a home soon and settle down with family. Salary is same for both location. Which location to choose in terms of real estate market, schools, weather ?
That’s tough, they’re pretty evenly matched. Atlanta is probably the bigger, more “full featured” option, but you can’t go wrong either way really. Personally, I’m more partial to Raleigh. Fun town.
I grew up near Charlotte... always was too busy during the week but not much during weekend. For living... ugh, well, it’s cheaper to stay in South Carolina and lots do if you’re up for the commute. If Atlanta, then more interesting ... but depends if you want to live near Buckhead ($$$) or near Kennesaw. Charlotte would only be my choice if I was into banking or wanted to use a motorboat a lot. Ugh, horrible at recommending things.
How about real estate situation in Charlotte to buy a single family home ?
Can you get Raleigh? It’s better.
Atlanta is awesome. Live in the city if you can.
Grew up in downtown Atlanta, lived there for 18 years. Pros: Good food Cons: Too hot Awful traffic Unpleasant people Nothing to do
Agree with the traffic and weather, same goes for NC though. Bike to work and you'll be golden. Everything else here is laziness, there are tons of things to do and amazing people if you bother to go meet them.
Both cities have their pluses and minuses. Atlanta is much bigger, more expensive, and has way crazier traffic. However offers much better job opportunities. Schools are better too I think. Weather wise they aren’t much different.
Probably Atlanta metro with some good school districts and also fewer hurricanes, maybe?
You do know that hurricanes don't go that far inland?
Man you're foolish, SQ. Back at it again with the Bullhead City School district.
